Privacy Policy
1. Information WattMeter processes
WattMeter may read and process technical information provided by Android, the device battery system, and your app settings, including:
- battery level, charging or discharging state, plugged-in state, charging source, and charging speed estimate.
- estimated battery-side power, current, voltage, temperature, remaining capacity, system design capacity estimate, learned capacity, health status, and cycle information when available.
- charging/discharging history, charging sessions, temperature history, daily device battery consumption, and battery health records stored locally.
- foreground app usage data from Android Usage Access when you grant it, used to estimate per-app battery consumption and screen time.
- preferences such as theme, language, notification settings, widget refresh interval, tracking options, battery measurement options, charging screen settings, and manual design capacity.
2. Personal data WattMeter does not request
WattMeter does not require an account and does not ask for your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, personal files, payment information, or device serial number for its core features.
WattMeter does not sell user data.
3. Local storage
Battery history, battery health records, app battery usage estimates, learned app power profiles, daily device consumption, and settings are stored locally on your device using Android app storage.
Battery history and app usage history are cleaned over time, generally retaining recent data such as the last 30 days for history and up to the latest valid charging sessions for learned capacity. You can remove local data by clearing WattMeter app data or uninstalling the app.
4. Diagnostic reports
When you choose “Report a problem,” WattMeter collects a short diagnostic snapshot for about 15 seconds and creates a local JSON file in the app cache. The report may include:
- WattMeter app version and build number.
- device manufacturer, model, device name, Android release, Android API level, and firmware build fingerprint.
- current measurement profile, battery measurement settings, dual-battery correction setting, series-cell setting, and manual design capacity if you entered one.
- about 20 battery diagnosis samples including elapsed time, raw current reading, reading source, voltage, battery level, and charging state.
- a display snapshot containing current mA, voltage, displayed voltage, wattage, level, remaining capacity, charge-counter unit, system capacity estimate, plugged-in state, charging source, and battery status.
The diagnostic report is intended to help debug charging measurement issues. It excludes your serial number, accounts, contacts, location, photos, personal files, and full battery history. The report is not sent automatically. It is shared only if you send the email.
5. Usage Access and per-app estimates
If you grant Android Usage Access, WattMeter can identify the foreground app to estimate battery usage by app. This feature is used for local statistics such as package name, foreground duration, estimated mAh, estimated mWh, sample counts, and learned foreground-current profiles.
Per-app values are estimates based on foreground time and device battery drain. WattMeter does not use Accessibility Service, root access, Shizuku, private APIs, or QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES for this feature.
6. Android permissions and features
WattMeter may use these Android permissions or system features:
- Notifications: to show battery monitoring status, power information, and Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications when enabled.
- Foreground service: to keep battery tracking active while the app runs in the background.
- Receive boot completed: to restore battery tracking after restart when you enable that option.
- Ignore battery optimizations request: to help background tracking remain reliable, with your confirmation in Android settings.
- Usage Access: to estimate foreground app battery usage when granted by you.
- System alert window / DreamService: to support charging standby and Android screen saver experiences where supported.
- Internet: for Firebase, ads, cloud messaging, and other online app services.
- FileProvider: to attach a diagnostic report file to an email app after your confirmation.
7. Third-party services
WattMeter uses Google/Firebase services that may process identifiers, app interaction data, diagnostics, advertising data, or messaging data according to their own policies:
- Firebase Analytics: used to understand app interactions such as screen views, selected tabs, theme changes, widget requests, screen saver choices, language changes, onboarding completion, and setting toggles.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: used to receive and display app notifications when enabled.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob: used to load and show interstitial ads. Google may use the advertising ID and related ad signals depending on your device settings and consent choices.
You can manage ad personalization and reset the advertising ID in Android/Google settings. You can also disable notifications in Android settings.
8. Accuracy of battery data
Battery power, current, voltage, temperature, capacity, health, and per-app consumption values are read from or estimated using Android system data and the device battery fuel gauge. Results can vary by device model, Android version, firmware, battery condition, charger, thermal state, and OEM behavior.
WattMeter shows an estimated battery-side power value, not a direct USB-C input measurement. It may be lower than external USB power meter readings because of conversion loss, heat, and active system load.
9. Backups, security, and retention
Local app data is protected by Android’s app sandbox and operating system security. Depending on Android backup settings and device configuration, some app data may be included in Android backup or device transfer mechanisms.
Diagnostic report files are stored temporarily in the app cache. WattMeter removes older WattMeter diagnostic report files when creating a new one.
10. Your choices
You can disable app battery usage tracking, device battery consumption tracking, notifications, power notifications, boot restore, widgets, and charging screen options in WattMeter or Android settings where available. You can revoke Usage Access in Android settings, clear WattMeter app data, or uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device.
11. Children
WattMeter is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when WattMeter changes its features, permissions, SDKs, or data processing practices. The updated policy will be published on this page with a new update date.

2. Dữ liệu cá nhân WattMeter không yêu cầu

5. Usage Access và ước tính theo app
Nếu bạn cấp quyền Usage Access của Android, WattMeter có thể xác định app đang ở foreground để ước tính tiêu thụ pin theo app. Tính năng này dùng cho thống kê cục bộ như package name, thời gian foreground, mAh ước tính, mWh ước tính, số mẫu và hồ sơ dòng điện foreground học được.
Các giá trị theo app là ước tính dựa trên thời gian foreground và mức tiêu thụ pin của thiết bị. WattMeter không dùng Accessibility Service, root, Shizuku, private API hoặc QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES cho tính năng này.
6. Quyền Android và tính năng hệ thống
WattMeter có thể dùng các quyền hoặc tính năng Android sau:
- Thông báo: hiển thị trạng thái theo dõi pin, thông tin công suất và thông báo Firebase Cloud Messaging khi được bật.
- Foreground service: duy trì tracking pin khi ứng dụng chạy nền.
- Receive boot completed: khôi phục tracking pin sau khi khởi động lại nếu bạn bật tùy chọn này.
- Yêu cầu bỏ qua tối ưu hóa pin: giúp tracking nền ổn định hơn, sau khi bạn xác nhận trong cài đặt Android.
- Usage Access: ước tính tiêu thụ pin theo app foreground khi bạn cấp quyền.
- System alert window / DreamService: hỗ trợ màn hình chờ khi sạc và trải nghiệm screen saver của Android trên thiết bị tương thích.
- Internet: phục vụ Firebase, quảng cáo, cloud messaging và các dịch vụ trực tuyến khác của ứng dụng.
- FileProvider: đính kèm tệp báo cáo chẩn đoán vào ứng dụng email sau khi bạn xác nhận.
7. Dịch vụ bên thứ ba
WattMeter dùng các dịch vụ Google/Firebase có thể xử lý định danh, dữ liệu tương tác ứng dụng, dữ liệu chẩn đoán, dữ liệu quảng cáo hoặc dữ liệu nhắn tin theo chính sách riêng của họ:
- Firebase Analytics: dùng để hiểu tương tác trong ứng dụng như lượt xem màn hình, tab được chọn, thay đổi giao diện, yêu cầu thêm widget, lựa chọn màn hình sạc, thay đổi ngôn ngữ, hoàn tất onboarding và bật/tắt cài đặt.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: dùng để nhận và hiển thị thông báo ứng dụng khi được bật.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob: dùng để tải và hiển thị quảng cáo interstitial. Google có thể dùng advertising ID và các tín hiệu quảng cáo liên quan tùy theo cài đặt thiết bị và lựa chọn đồng ý của bạn.
Bạn có thể quản lý cá nhân hóa quảng cáo và đặt lại advertising ID trong cài đặt Android/Google. Bạn cũng có thể tắt thông báo trong cài đặt Android.
8. Độ chính xác của dữ liệu pin
Công suất pin, dòng điện, điện áp, nhiệt độ, dung lượng, sức khỏe pin và tiêu thụ theo app được đọc hoặc ước tính từ dữ liệu hệ thống Android và fuel gauge của pin. Kết quả có thể thay đổi theo model thiết bị, phiên bản Android, firmware, tình trạng pin, bộ sạc, nhiệt độ và cách OEM cung cấp dữ liệu.
WattMeter hiển thị công suất ước tính ở phía pin, không phải phép đo trực tiếp tại đầu vào USB-C. Giá trị này có thể thấp hơn máy đo USB bên ngoài do hao hụt chuyển đổi, nhiệt và tải hệ thống đang hoạt động.

10. Lựa chọn của bạn

2. WattMeter 不要求提供的个人数据

WattMeter 不出售用户数据。
3. 本地存储

9. 备份、安全和保留

10. 你的选择
你可以在 WattMeter 或 Android 设置中关闭按应用耗电跟踪、设备耗电跟踪、通知、功率通知、重启后恢复跟踪、小组件和充电屏幕选项。你也可以在 Android 设置中撤销 Usage Access，清除 WattMeter 应用数据，或卸载应用以从设备中删除本地应用数据。
11. 儿童
WattMeter 并非面向儿童，也不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。
12. 本政策的变更
当 WattMeter 的功能、权限、SDK 或数据处理方式发生变化时，本政策可能会更新。更新后的政策会在本页面发布，并标明新的更新日期。
